What does it mean if you get an error message when you try to confirm an order?
Often you will see an error message when trying to confirm an order if there is a problem with your billing address or shipping address. We suggest that you double check to make sure that your billing address matches the billing address for the credit card you are using. Also check both shipping and billing addresses for any typos or mistakes. To correct your billing information simply go to "Check Out" and login as a returning customer. Re-enter your email login and password then select "Change billing information". If you do not check the box to CHANGE BILLING INFORMATION you will continue to get an error message. We also suggest clearing your browsers cache after correcting your billing information in your account to avoid your browser remember your previous error.

Do you have a gift card?
Yes we have a gift card. Our gift card is plastic and comes in a white envelope wrapped in our signature emerald green satin ribbon and sealed with our label. It also comes with an all occasion card in which you can have a personal message written. It is mailed through the US Postal Service.
How do you redeem an Irish Jewelry Company gift card?
To redeem a gift card simply enter in the card number in the promo code area when checking out. The gift card number is located on the front the card in the upper left corner. Please note the total card value must be redeemed all at once. Remaining cards values can not and will not be carried over. All gift cards expire within one year from the date of purchase. Cards values remain the same and do not decrease until the card expires.
How do I navigate The Irish Jewelry Company online store?
We wanted to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible. We tried to take the guess work out of your Irish gift giving needs. So long as you have an idea of what the occasion you're shopping for or who the recipient of your gift is simply click on either category on the tool bar and you'll see the pull down menu options. Then click on the appropriate occasion such as birthday or recipient such as mom. If you're not looking for either of those categories simple browse our Jewelry or Irish Style categories. There you can shop by product type such as earrings or by style such as claddaghs.
What does "Exclusive to The Irish Jewelry Company" mean exactly?
Often you will see this phrase beneath a products description. Many of our Irish gifts are designed and created by the Irish Jewelry Company which means you won't be able to buy them anywhere else. We believe in bringing our customers stylish and unique Irish gifts and jewelry at reasonable prices.
How do special orders and back orders work?
Special orders get added into your cart just like any other item. The only difference is that when it appears in your cart at check out it will say that this item is back ordered. When an item is unexpectedly out of stock do to popularity it will appear in your cart at check as a back order also. Simply proceed with your order confirmation like any other order. If you decide you do not want the back ordered item and you would like to make another selection simply remove it from your cart before confirming your order. If you would like your special order or your back ordered purchase sent to you express mail when it is in stock simply choose express shipment when placing your order. When your special order or back ordered purchase arrives it will then be sent to you via express mail.

If I am shipping a Celtic gift directly to someone, will they receive an invoice with the prices on it?
No, they will not receive an invoice with the prices on it in the box . It is our standard policy to only include in the shipment a packing slip. The only information on the packing slip is the purchasers address and the shipping address as well as the product description and quantity and any message typed in by the purchaser for the gift card. This is our standard practice regardless if it is a gift being shipped directly to the recipient.
If I am purchasing multiply items in Celtic jewelry and they are all wrapped. How will I be able to tell them apart?
When multiple items are shipped to the same address as the billing address we label each item after it is wrapped. We place each wrapped box in a clear bag and label it with the style number. If multiple items are being shipped to a different address, that is directly to the gift recipient we do not bag and label them.
I would like to purchase a claddagh ring. How can I determine my ring size?
Simply print and cut out our ring sizer.
I am buying a piece of Celtic jewelry for a child, what should I know?
All children, especially those under 3 years of age need close adult supervision when wearing any type of jewelry since jewelry often contains small parts.
What is vermeil?
Vermeil or silver gilt is basically gold plated sterling silver. Vermeil is a common jewelry industry term. To be considered vermeil jewelry the gold plating must be at least 10K gold and at least 1.5 micrometers thick.
What is sterling silver?
At The Irish Jewelry Company most of our silver jewelry and accessories are made of brilliant sterling silver unless otherwise stated. Sterling silver is the highest quality standard of silver jewelry. Sterling silver is 90% pure silver with a mixture of other alloys for durability and strength.
How long will my jewelry last?
With proper care your jewelry, accessories and gift ware, whether sterling silver, pewter or gold can last a lifetime and be passed on for generations.
How do I care for silver?
While you are cleaning the house or swimming in a pool we recommend removing your silver, and gold or silver plated jewelry. Many household cleaning chemicals such as ammonia bleach and chlorine can discolor, damage, or cause a film to form on your silver, plated or pewter jewelry and dull its appearance.
All jewelry is fragile and can be easily broken while in bed or playing sports. We recommend removing your silver jewelry during such activities to avoid kinking, scratches, and breakage.
How do I store silver jewelry?
Store your sterling silver jewelry in an anti tarnish pouch or sealed bag, wrapped in an anti tarnish cloth. The anti tarnish cloth or pouch slows down the tarnishing process and keeps the jewelry from rubbing against harder jewelry, like gold that can scratch it. Always keep your sterling silver jewelry in a cool, dry place.
How do I clean sterling silver?
You should always use a phosphate free detergent to clean sterling silver with. A low abrasive cleaner, such as a silver polish cloth or a soft cotton cloth is a good choice for removing light tarnish. We do not recommend the use of toothpaste to clean their sterling silver. Most jewelers caution against toothpaste it is too abrasive, and leaves dulling scratches.
How do I care for pewter jewelry, accessories and house wares?
Pewter is a traditionally silver like metal alloy consisting of 85% to 95% tin. The remaining balance is made up of copper and antimony. The house ware products are guaranteed lead-free and quite safe to be used for all kinds of food and drink.
How do I store pewter jewelry?
Pewter is a bright and shiny metal that is very similar in appearance to silver and pewter will also oxidize to a dull gray over time if left untreated. Store your pewter jewelry in an anti tarnish pouch or sealed bag separately from other jewelry.
How do I clean pewter?
To recapture the exquisite original luster of pewter wash in hot water using liquid soap and rinse in almost boiling water and dry immediately then polish with a soft cotton cloth.
DO NOT PLACE pewter house wares IN THE DISHWASHER.
